All Around Us
The piece was based on the children’s game of ‘blind man’s buff’, with modified rules. There were three blindfolded players, not just one. Wearing underskirts and with our eyes covered, each of us stood at a certain distance from the others. We spun round on the spot a few times and set off in silence to find our companions. The performance took place in the city centre, on a busy street. The public watched our actions, intervening only when there was a danger and one of us almost stepped onto the busy road. After 45 minutes, we managed to find each other.
