Propaganda / Intolerance

„The fundamental fabric of this exhibition, which fits to the national Year of Mathematics (2019), consists of patterns, understood as formal expressions, equations or symbolic notations. The artists invited to participate in the exhibition, in keeping with their characteristic creative freedom, break down this rigid framework of mathematical, physical or chemical formulas and present patterns also as repetitive geometric arrangements, as records of movement paths, as reference systems, ideal forms, or specific measures. Although the starting point here is the natural sciences, what we end up with is true poetry of the sign, full of subtle puzzles and conceptual and visual metaphors (…).”
