I’d Like To Be Weak, Fragile as Porcelain
The porcelain dishes thrown here against the concrete wall do not shatter, defying all the laws of physics and our everyday experience. The sound of the impact and the fall of an intact object is irritating; it intensifies the feeling of helplessness and anger. Life’s events have armed me with a powerful inner strength, essential for survival. Paradoxically, as time has passed, it is this very strength that has become a burden – by creating a shell, it has rendered me invisible. This is a story about the desire to be weak and the need to confront past survival strategies that are now obsolete.
