To Be Like the Chief Judge

Our performance was staged in response to an invitation from the group Sedzia Glowny (artistic duo). We recreated Aleksandra Kubiak and Karolina Wiktor’s 2007 performance (‘Chapter LXXI’), albeit with a slight modification: we covered the bare stairs, down which the two artists had originally rolled, with soft duvets to cushion the hard surface. Our fall was not painful. As we rolled down, our high heels – such a common prop in Sędzia Główny’s performances – fell off our feet. We later used them as props that led us, along with the audience, into the room where the artistic duo’s costumes were kept.
